In addition to all of the above roles, Alison was an LAQ State Team Coach in 1986, coach / manager at our annual coaching camps for many years (camps were held throughout the State) and she was also a Walks and Throws referee.

Alison’s commitment to our sport was recognised in 1996 when she was presented with an LAQ Distinguished Merit Award and two years later in 1998, she was awarded LAQ Life Membership – the Association’s third Life member and first female Life Member.

In 2005, she received a Little Athletics Australia Merit Award, and in 2010 Little Athletics Australia bestowed Alison with national Life Membership. In 2014, she was inducted into the Little Athletics Australia Hall of Fame in the Volunteer category.
