The Coles Winter Carnival is held each year in a Winter Centre area on an all-weather track and is open to all LAQ registered athletes AND non-LAQ registered athletes.
To foster team spirit, all athletes registered with a LAQ Centre, through their competing, will earn points towards the Competition’s Centre Weighted Points Trophy. A March Past is also conducted where all Centre athletes are encouraged to step forward to show their Centre pride and mascot. Winter Carnival 100m Gift Races are also included in the program. The first placed athletes in the U9 – U17 age groups are offered an opportunity to compete in a handicapped race using starting distances calculated on each competing athlete’s 100m times. |

Eligibility | |||
All LAQ registered athletes as well as non-LAQ registered athletes U7 – U17’s are eligible for this event. Age groups are calculated as of 31 December. Please use link for further clarification.
Note: LAQ registered athletes must wear the approved LAQ Centre uniform and non-LAQ registered members must wear clothes that conform to the LAQ Uniform policy to enter the competition arena. To view these policies, please click here. |

Multi-Class Athlete Inclusion | |||
LAQ registered and classified ambulant and wheelchair athletes have the opportunity to nominate in multi-class events and standard events. Nomination, Fees & Closing Dates | |||
The Sport:80 Event nomination portal has been released.
Where offered, athletes may nominate for a maximum of seven (7) individual events. U15 – U17 may nominate in the Heptathlon plus two (2) individual events. Multi-Class athletes must nominate via the Sport:80 portal. Events identified by ‘MC’ preceding the event name and relevant age group are specific for Multi-Class athletes only. |
