Little Athletics Queensland (LAQ) welcomes the release of the QSport 2024 State Election Brief, calling on the next State Government to forge more effective partnerships with the sporting industry.

LAQ is by far the largest ordinary member of QSport to have their recurrent State Government funding cut to zero earlier this year, through a redistribution of funds under the Active Industry Base Fund (AIBF), forcing membership fees to be increased across the state to ensure essential support services remained.

The QSport 2024 State Election Brief calls on the new State Government to focus on four key priorities, each of which have crucial importance to Little Athletics Queensland:

• Organisational capability
• Places and spaces
• Workforce development
• Brisbane 2032 Games Readiness and Legacy
