Latest COVID Restrictions

Latest COVID Update

(as at 12 November 2021)

As Queensland nears 80% of the eligible population with double dose COVID vaccinations, the Queensland Government is introducing restrictions for individuals that are not fully vaccinated. This includes restricting access to sporting stadiums such as QSAC.

The new rules apply to people aged 16 and over and will impact U17 athletes, officials, volunteers, Centre representatives and parents. The restrictions come into effect December 17 but could be brought forward if Queensland reaches 80% double dose vaccinations beforehand.

Whilst LAQ does not have any competitions at QSAC immediately after the 17th of December, competitions are scheduled for February (South East Regional Championships) and March (Combined Events Championships & State Championships). Unvaccinated people, according to the latest advice, will not be permitted to enter the venue.

We will issue further advice should these restrictions change.
