Australian Athletics Officials Education Scheme (AAOES)
The Australian Athletics Officials’ Education Scheme has been developed by Little Athletics Australia and Athletics Australia.
The scheme provides one seamless and transparent pathway for all athletics Officials, regardless of their affiliation from the grassroots to the international level.

The Scheme has Australian Sport Commission endorsement and follows best industry practice, with online learning coupled with face to face delivery. The aim of the scheme is to ensure an effective and efficient education framework is provided that will guarantee Australian Officials remain world leaders in event delivery at all levels of athletic competition.

The emphasis of AAOES is on knowledge and competency, rather than length of service. The Scheme is aimed at being widely accessible and encourages a greater number of people to be provided with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge to conduct athletics competitions at all levels.

Level 2 Practical Cards have been updated are more competency based; are now available towards the bottom on this AAOES webpage .  These are to allow those officials in more regional/remote areas to have equal opportunity to complete and be signed off on the practical component of Level 2.  Please note at least one attendance of a Seminar is still also required, whether it be virtually or face to face.
