Little Athletics Queensland offers a variety of Track and Field events to athletes (U6 – U17’s) depending on their age groups. Event distances and equipment specifications are graduated to match the growth of the athletes and encourage skill development. Please use the links below for further information.

Little Athletics Competitions in Queensland are conducted in accordance with the Competition Rules of World Athletics ( WA formally IAAF), the Standard Rules for Competition of Little Athletics Australia (LAA) and as otherwise stated in the LAQ Competition or Officials’ handbooks.
Where it has been decided the WA Rules are not suitable for athletes in the age groups covered by LAQ, the WA Rule has been rewritten to allow for the abilities of athletes in the various age groups. Use this link to access or download relevant rules.
LAQ registered athletes must wear the approved LAQ Centre uniform and abide by the Footwear Policy at Centre, and LAQ Competitions, use this link to access policies.
